This transgene construct consists of the mouse Prnp containing a substitution of a leucine for proline codon at residue 101, corresponding to the Gerstmann-Straussler-Scheinker disease mutation at codon 102 of the human PRNP gene, in the cosSHa.Tet vector. This line overexpresses the transgene about 32-fold. Three lines were generated; 2247, 2866, and 2862 (J:136434)
