A PGK-neo cassette was inserted into the Hoxb2 intron, downstream of the translation start codon. Frt sites flanked the cassette with a loxP site following the 3' Frt site. Another loxP site was inserted into the Hoxb2 3' UTR downstream of the stop codon. Animals were crossed to Flpe deleter mice, excising the PGK-neo. (J:197162)
