A cre transgene was generated using the feline cardiomyocyte-specific sodium/calcium exchanger (SLC8A1, formerly NCX1) promoter. The promoter construct included 1831 bp of the 5'UTR, encompassing the cardiac-specific H1 exon to 67 bp of intron 1 of the feline SLC8A1 sequence. (J:134580, J:195489)
