The translational start ATG of the Sftpc gene was replaced with a cre/ERT Frt-PGK-neo-Frt cassette (containing 3 copies of the polyadenylation signal) by homologous recombination in ES cells. The neo marker was removed by crosses to Tg(ACTFLPe)9205 mice. (J:195738)
