A 3.5 kb region upstream of the Hoxa2 (-3581 to -1) was cloned into a plasmid upstream of the beta-globin minimal promoter, cre sequence and SV40 polyA signal. The transgene fragment was excised and used for microinjection to generate transgenic mice. (J:193244)
