A floxed neo cassette was inserted between the first upstream neuronal enhancer (nPE1) and the deleted second neuronal enhancer (nPE2). The pituitary enhancer/promoter is not affected. Immunohistochemistry confirmed the lack of neuronal transcription in the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus (Arc) and normal expression in pituitary cells. (J:194013)
