The ENSEMBL 129S7/AB2.2-derived mouse genomic BAC clone bMQ262f21, encoding full-length gastrin, was modified to express EGFP from the Gast promoter. The open reading frame after the ATG start codon located in exons 2 and 3 was replaced by an EGFP-FRT-PGK-neomycin-FRT cassette. The PGK-neomycin cassette was removed via transfection with an arabinose-induced FLP recombinase plasmid. Line 1 was generated. (J:168390)
