The insertion of Velocigene cassette ZEN-Ub1 created a deletion of size 28620bp between positions 37298567-37327186 of Chromosome 15 (Genome Build37) and subsequent cre expression excised the neomycin selection cassette. Western blot analysis of brain lysates revealed a >50% reduction of protein expression in heterozygous mutant mice and complete absence of protein in homozygous mutant mice.
