A genomic fragment including exons 2 and 3, encompassing the entire coding region, was replaced with a lacZ cassette and floxed neo cassette via homologous recombination. The lacZ gene was inserted in frame into the first codon of the gene. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. (J:192287)
