A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 7. A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 8. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 7, exon 8 and the neo cassette. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in erythroblasts. (J:189490)
