Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked stop cassette. The floxed stop cassette remains intact and must be removed to achieve expression of the channelrhodopsin-2 from the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii modified to contain a C128A substitution (COP4*C128A) under the control of the CAG promoter.
