Exon 24 was replaced with a loxP site flanked modified exon 24 in which nulceotide substitutions result in the amino acid substitution of histidine with alanine and glutamic acid at positions 1146 and 1148 (H1146A and E1148A). Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 24. The modified exon 24 remains floxed. (J:190157)
