A selection cassette containing cDNAs encoding thymidine kinase and neomycin resistance with a loxP site was inserted into the intron between exons 2 and 3. An additional loxP site was inserted between exons 3 and 4. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 3 and the neo cassette. (J:189609)
