The mouse promoter drives B cell-specific expression of the human MYC coding sequence (exons 2 and 3; Genbank vector MN894515 without stop codon). The codon substitution created a DGYW motif, a known preferential target sequence for somatic hypermutation, that can activate MYC translation following sporadic reversion. Lines 11 and 24 (20 and 8 copies of the transgene, respectively, inserted chr11:6965780-7030487 and chr17:91535994-91546658, mm39, respectively) were generated. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:99667)
