A targeting construct was generated with cDNA encoding cre recombinase with nuclear localization signal and an Frt-flanked neomycin selection cassette. Homologous recombination in E14.1 ES cells inserted the cre and neo selection marker into the second exon of Ccl17. Flp expression in vitro deleted the neomycin cassette. (J:187773)
