The targeting vector from EUCOMM was used to insert an FRT flanked lacZ and neo cassette and a loxP site upstream of exon 3 and a second loxP site downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. Slightly reduced levels of mRNA expression are seen in hemizygous male embryonic stem cells carrying this allele indicating that this is a hypomorphic allele. (J:186686)
