A targeting construct containing a nuclear-localized Tag-RFPT variant of Red Fluorescent Protein, cre/ERT2, and FRT site flanked Kanamycin/neomycin selection cassette was inserted into the consensus start ATG codon of the mouse Meox1 gene in the RP23-5O22 BAC. The PGK-Neo/Kan cassette was removed by transient Flpe-recombinase expression. The resulting modified nucTagRFPT-ires-CE BAC transgene was microinjected into (C57BL/6 x DBA) F1 donor eggs. Founder line 30 was subsequently established. (J:159099, J:187214)
