A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3 and a loxP site and FRT flanked neo cassette were inserted downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 3. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of expression in ovary, mammary gland and uterus tissues from homozygous mice. (J:186230)
