Exons alpha 1 and 2 were replaced with a floxed neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in liver, kidney, fat depots, serum, heart, lung, stomach, intestine, spleen, brain and testis. (J:118213)
