The coding domain of exon 1 was replaced with a floxed construct consisting of a lacZ gene and an FRT flanked neo cassette via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Betagal expression is seen in the entire neuroectoderm at E9.5. (J:185597)
