A loxZP site was inserted upstream of exon 4 and another loxP site was placed downstream along with an FRT flanked neo cassette immediately 3'. Th neo cassette was subsequently removed by crossing to flp expressing mice. No protein product was detected by Western blot in exon 4 deleted mice. (J:185989)
