A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 5 and a neo cassette and loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 5. Cre mediated recombination deleted exon 5 and the neo cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of gene expression in bone marrow derived macrophages from homozygous mice. (J:160545)
