The translational stop codon in exon 5 was replaced with an in-frame open reading frame of mCherry followed by a floxed PGK-neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Expression and localization of the fusion protein recapitulates endogenous gene expression and localization. (J:185482)
