The human bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) RP1-458H10, containing the entire synuclein, alpha (non A4 component of amyloid precursor), SNCA, gene was used as the source for the SNCA-Wt transgene, which was linearized and microinjected into the pronucleus of C57BL/6NTac fertilized eggs. Transgene insertion occurred on Chr 7, causing a 898 bp deletion.
