This transgene contains the heptameric tetracycline operator (tetO) and human cytomegalovirus (CMV) minimal promoter driving expression of the coding sequence for enhanced green fluorescent protein joined to nucleotides 1-360 of human vesicle-associated membrane protein 7 (VAMP7, also called TI-VAMP), which include the coding sequence for the 100-amino acid N-terminal "Longin domain," followed by the rabbit beta globin intron and polyadenylation signal.
