A loxP site was inserted in the promoter region 158 bp upstream of the transcription start site and an FRT flanked neo cassette and loxP site were inserted in intron 1 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Immunostaining confirmed normal expression of protein in the brain. (J:183467)
