An FRT-flanked promoterless cassette, which contains a splice acceptor, beta-geo and polyadenylation sequence, with a 3' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4. An additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 4. Flp-mediated recombination removed the promoterless cassette and left exon 4 floxed. (J:182628)
