A truncated cDNA encoding the Leishmania major activated protein kinase C receptor (LACK) with an N-terminal hemagglutinin (HA) epitope was placed under control of the promoter of the mouse MHC type II I-Ealpha promoter (k allele). LACK transcripts are detected in primary and secondary lymphoid organs, including thymus, spleen and bone marrow, but not in liver, kidney or muscle of transgenic mice. (J:181384)
