A loxP site was inserted into exon 1. An FRT-flanked neo cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed most of exon 1. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:180252)
