A cDNA encoding cre recombinase with a bovine polyadenylation sequence and a nuclear localization signal (NLS) and followed by an Frt-flanked neo cassette was inserted into exon 2 of Cd207 (langerin) by homologous recombination. After verifying germline transmission, the neo resistance cassette was deleted from the allele by breeding founders to FLPe-expressing mice. (J:179630)
