A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 8. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 3 through 8. FACS analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in bone marrow-derived mast cells. (J:177785)
