An Frt flanked neo cassette followed by a loxP site was inserted intron 5. A second loxP site was inserted in intron 2. Western blot analysis of splenocyte proteins and intracellular staining of peripheral blood confirmed the absence of protein product. Absence of transcript was confirmed by RT-PCR. (J:179270)
