Cre recombinase cDNA was cloned downstream of a 5.4 kb Fabp4 (aP2) promoter/enhancer fragment. The construct was microinjected into pronuclei of (C57BL/6 x SJL)F2 zygotes. Two independent lines were obtained that demonstrated adipose-specific cre expression. (J:178521)
