An IRES-cre/ERT-Frt-PGK-neo-Frt cassette was inserted into the 3' UTR of the Hopx locus by homologous recombination in ES cells. Subsequently, these animals were crossed to mice expressing the Tg(ACTFLPe)9205Dym recombinase allele to remove the PGK-neo cassette. (J:178296)
