A MICER vector (MHPN265D14) was used to insert an inverted neo cassette, a TYR1-HPRT construct, and a genomic fragment containing exons 4 and 5, after exon 5 of the gene. This insertion introduces a frameshift mutation. RT-PCR analysis showed the expression of a mutant transcript containing the duplicated exons. (J:175364)
