Exon 2 was floxed and an FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 2. Quantitative real time PCR showed that expression levels are about 10 fold lower in homozygous mice compared to wild-type mice. (J:175635)
