The 3.6 kb otic enhancer region of the human POU3F4 gene was fused to the herpes thymidine kinase promoter to drive expression of cre recombinase. Nine founders were obtained, with 6 displaying expression in the otic mesenchyme, including line M51 which had the highest expression level. (J:146839)
