A loxP site was inserted 3.7 kb upstream of exon 1. A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 1. Cre-mediated recombination first removed the neo cassette and left the 6 kb encompassing the Prader-Willi syndrome imprinting center (PWS-IC) floxed. (J:174457)
