Exon 24 was replaced with a modified exon 24 in which nucleotide substitution results in the amino acid substitutions of 6 amino acids in the basic amino acid residue-rich region (KMRKLIKSKK to AMAALIASAA). A floxed neo cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 24 was removed by cre-mediated recombination. (J:173379)
