A loxP site and FRT flanked neomycin selection cassette were inserted in intron 1 and a second loxP site was inserted in intron 2. The selection cassette was subsequently excised by breeding to mice expressing flp recombinase from the Gt(ROSA)26 Sor promoter. This leaves exon2 flanked by loxP sites. (J:173284)
