A transgene was designed with the human doublecortin (DCX) promoter/enhancer regions upstream of a Cre recombinase gene with nuclear localization signal. This transgene was microinjected into C57BL/6J blastocysts. Transgenic mice from founder line 35 (DCX-Cre-35) were bred to C57BL/6J mice. (J:151755)
