A loxP site was inserted upstream of eoxn 6. A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 17. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 6 through 17. The absence of transcript expression was confirmed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR. (J:172936)
