The Flt1 sequence was cloned downstream of an in-frame loxP flanked STOP cassette (lox-neo-lox) and upstream of an IRES sequence followed by the EGFP sequence. In the presence of cre recombinase, the STOP cassette is removed and expression of Flt1 results. Flt1 expression levels are 20% higher in whole dorsal root ganglia compared to wild-type. (J:172783)
