The Prap1 gene consists of 5 exons. Coding exons 1 through 5 were targeted (NCBI accession NM_009475.1) by homologous recombination. Disruption of the target gene was confirmed by Southern hybridization analysis. Western blot analysis using novel PRAP1 rabbit antisera demonstrated the absence of protein expression in small intestine and uterine whole tissue from homozygous mutant mice. Immunofluorescence staining confirmed the absence of detectable signal in duodenal tissue. (J:171883, J:304152)
