Germ-line cre deletion of the loxP-flanked EGFP cassette generated this Flp only-responsive reporter allele. In presence of Flp (or Flpe), the Frt-flanked PGK-Neo stop cassette is excised allowing expression of lacZ in Flp-expression progenitor cells.
