A single loxP site was inserted 5' of exon 1 and a floxed and FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted 3' of exon 1 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette leaving exon 1 floxed. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 1. (J:171342)
