Exons 6 through 8 were replaced with a floxed cDNA of the corresponding human sequence, a neo cassette with a 3' loxP site, and a cDNA of the corresponding human sequence with nucleotide substitutions that result in the amino acid substitution of alanine for threonine at position 877. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. (J:170092)
