Cre recombinase with a nuclear localization signal followed by an IRES-EGFP sequence was cloned into a plasmid vector containing 18 kb of 5' upstream Gria2 sequence including the first two exons. The excised expression cassette injected into mouse pronuclei to generate transgenic animals. (J:169866)
