The CAG promoter drives expression of a floxed EGFP followed by the fusion of human PAX8 and PPARG. Cre-mediated recombination is required to remove the floxed EGFP cassette and allow for expression of the fusion protein. This fusion protein is expressed in 35% of human follicular thyroid carcinomas. (J:177181)
