Using GENSAT BAC engineering system, the Cre recombinase gene was introduced upstream of the ATG start codon of the gene of interest on a selected BAC clone. The inserted gene has its own ATG start codon and polyadenylation signal. This modification results in the expression of Cre recombinase that is under the control of the promoter and regulatory elements of the gene of interest that are present on the BAC clone. The BAC address for this line is RP23-278G4. SNP analysis has shown the transgenic insertion to be on chromosome 19 between SNPs rs3023496 and UT_4_59.889271. (J:100256)
